it’s the third time posting karelian stew and i promise this’ll be the last. my excuse for this is that it’s the first time actually preparing proper dinner at our new apartment. and of course, the stew, cooked for about 6 hours.. oh man. she served hers with mashed cauliflowers, which was refreshingly new. i took the traditional way with potatoes.
turkey fillet steaks, broccoli, cauliflower and oven potato wedges. and this time, made by my very significant other!
karelian stew with a bit of fine tuning - including thyme, garlic red wine among others - served with oven sweet potatoes, cauliflower, green beans and - of course - karelian pasties. i might have to say that this was the most hearty and delicious meal i’ve ever made, the broth was ever so wonderful with the obviously super-tender meat. i’ve made this stew a few times the traditional way with only the meat, bay leaves, whole allspice and salt. it’s delicious, too, but this… i finally might have a signature recipe, one to really impress someone with.
